Welcome to the Trail Runner’s System!

How This Works

Ready to change your running forever? I sure hope so!

If you follow this system, you’ll come out stronger, faster, and more experienced than ever. The thing is, it’s going to take a lot of work.

Get ready to push out of your comfort zone and experience both challenges and triumphs you never dreamt possible.

By signing up, you have immediately gained access to the entire Trail Runner’s System, and all the training plans, interviews, and perks that come along with it. That being said, each lesson was designed to build on the last, so I highly recommend you work through the system in order. This isn’t something that should be powered through in just a couple of days, but is instead a system you should work through over time.

The Trail Runner’s System is split in to several units. Each unit has a variety of lessons designed to cover everything you need to know about that topic. Before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s check off a few To Dos:

What To Do First

1) Join the Trail Runner’s System Private Facebook Group

The private Trail Runner’s System Facebook Group is only open to members of this community. It’s here that you can share about your latest run, seek encouragement before a big race, and hold each other accountable. The more you interact with the community, that more you’ll get from this system. This is a safe space for runners of all levels to build each other up and support one another through their epic journey to trail and ultra running.

Join the community here. Because this is private, all requests do need to be approved, but I’ll check it daily to make sure you can quickly gain access.

If you don’t have Facebook, considering joining! You can use a fake name and don’t have to friend anyone. You can use it just for this community.

2) Register for Skype Office Hours

As a perk just for founding members, each week I’ll make myself available for one-on-one calls via Skype. On those calls you can ask me anything. Ask about your training, trail running, what race you should register for, or what beer you should have at the finish line.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Register for your 15 minute appointment here. Each week hours will rotate between 5:00pm-6:30pm EST Mondays, and 10:00am-12:00pm EST Wednesdays. There are limited slots each week, so plan ahead to claim your call.
  2. Add me as a contact on Skype. My name is “dougrcr”. Once it’s time for your appointment, I’ll give you a video call, and we can get started!

If you can’t make one of those times work, just let me know and we’ll figure it out.

3) Share Your Mailing Address

As a member of the Trail Runner’s System, I’ll be sending you some free goodies from time to time. First up is your very own “Run Trails” sticker.

If you were eligible for the free hat (first 15 members), I’ll use the address you include here to send the hat as well.

4) Start the program

Now for the fun part. Let’s get started! Click on the course logo on the top left, and get to work. The course is designed to go as quickly or as slowly as you wish, but I recommend doing no more than one unit per week.
